This Institute is the largest producer of the nucleus and breeder seed in the State.

 The best quality planting material of improved varieties of wheat, barley, chickpea, mungbean, groundnut, clusterbean, cowpea and onion is produced by
    the Scientists of this Institute.

 Truthful level seed (TFL) of improved new varieties of 8 diverse crops is produced and made available to the farmers by this Research Institute.

 Strengthening of nucleus & breeder seed production programme of improved varieties at this institute has resulted in enhancing the Seed Replacement
    Rate (SRR) of different crops in the state.
